I have met in coffee houses for years. I have worked in them, waited in them, cried and laughed in them. Mostly, I have been uncomfortable. I have gotten down on my knees and crawled around on the floor looking for a plug in, cupped my ears to hear better, strained my eyes in terrible “mood” lighting, even suffered through the weirdest rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow that somebody felt added an “eclectic” ambiance to the coffee.
In every instance what I wanted was to be comfortable. To conduct a meeting, to read a book, to recharge my laptop and my spirit, and above all to have a beverage that I enjoyed and felt good about buying in the first place. I was searching for a space that, even if I wanted to be alone, I could be alone with my neighbors.
Welcome to The Bard’s Coffee. A place to meet, talk, listen, read, work, play, and relax.
